  • Australian Senior Women’s Team at World Championships – Brazil: Hollie Grima, Kristi Harrower, Lauren Jackson, Emily McInerny, Erin Phillips, Emma Randall, Jennifer Screen, Belinda Snell, Penny Taylor, Laura Summerton (Hodges), Jenny Whittle. Won Gold Medal
  • Australian Senior Men’s Team at World Championships – Japan: Andrew Bogut, Aaron Bruce, Wade Helliewell, Daniel Kickert, Sam McKinnon, Brad Newley. Coach - Rob Beveridge. 9th place.
  • Australian Senior Women’s Team at Commonwealth Games - Australia: Hollie Grima, Jacinta Hamilton, Lauren Jackson, Jae Kingi (Cross), Emily McInerny, Erin Phillips, Jennifer Screen, Belinda Snell, Laura Summerton (Hodges) , Allison Cook (Tranquilli), Jenny Whittle, Carly Wilson. Won Gold Medal
  • Australian Senior Men’s Team at Commonwealth Games - Australia: Neil Mottram, Jacob Holmes, Brad Newley, Tony Ronaldson, Sam McKinnon. Coach - Rob Beveridge. Won Gold Medal.
  • Australian Junior Men’s Team at Albert Schwietzer Tournament - Germany: Tyson Demos, Benjamin Dowdell, Daniel Jackson, Daniel Johnson, Benjamin Louis, Patrick Mills, Andrew Ogilvy, Shannon Seebohm, Benjamin Smith
  • Australian Junior Men’s Team at William Jones Cup - Taiwan: Tyson Demos, Benjamin Dowdell, Daniel Jackson, Daniel Johnson, Benjamin Louis, Andrew Ogilvy, Shannon Seebohm, Benjamin Smith
  • Australian Junior Men’s Team at Oceania World Qualification Series: Daniel Jackson, Benjamin Louis, Patrick Mills, Andrew Ogilvy, Shannon Seebohm, Benjamin Smith. Won Gold Medal.

AIS results and awards

  • Women's team in the WNBL 2005-2006 season had a 0-21 win/loss record. Abby Bishop was named Rookie of the Year. Louella Tomlinson was the Leading Blocker.
  • Women's team toured Washington State, Oregon and California and finished with a 1-6 win/loss record
  • Men's team in SEABL East Conference after winning 2 of their first 3 games, the team went on a 6 game losing streak, before getting a huge road win over Mt Gambier to get the ship back on course. The group won 14 of the next 15 games, including 12 straight wins to move from the bottom to the top of the conference in 10 weeks. An outstanding performance against Frankston in the first week of finals was the culmination of much hard work by the team. In SEABL East Conference Elimination Final at Belconnen Stadium team went down by 2 points in a thrilling game against local rival the Canberra Gunners
  • Men's team toured Italy in November-December and finished with a 1-5 win/loss record
  • Patrick Mills won R E Staunton Memorial Medal at the U20 National Championships
  • Bob Staunton Memorial Scholarship: Men - Stephen Weigh; Women - Abby Bishop
