- Australian Young Men’s Team at U21 World Championships – Argentina: Ben Allen, Aaron Bruce, Rhys Carter, Adam Gibson, Sam Harris, Brad Hill, Blagoj Janev, Nathan Jawai, Matthew Knight, Aleksander Maric, Stephen Markovic, Brad Newley. 4th place.
- Australian Junior Women’s Team at U19 World Championships – Tunisia: Abby Bishop, Renae Camino, Caitlin Cunningham, Mikaela Dombkins, Rebecca Duke, Christina Fox, Jamie Lee Samuels, Kathleen Macleod, Lisa Scaglia, Rebecca Schatz, Melissa Smith, Louella Tomlinson. Head Coach - Phil Brown. 7th place.
- Australian Women's Team at Universide - Turkey: Lauren King, Jenny Screen, Rachel Warren. Head Coach - Debbie Cook. Won Bronze Medal.
- Australian Men's Team at Universiade - Turkey: Chris Cameron, Ian Crosswhite, John Phllip. Head Coach - Brett Coxsedge. 7th place.
AIS results and awards
- Women's team finished the 2004-2005 WNBL season in 7th with a 3-18 win/loss record. Renae Camino was named Rookie of the Year.
- Men's team finished Eastern Conference of the SEABL with 13-13 win/loss record but did not compete in the finals due to players absent at U20 World Championships. Marty Clarke named Eastern Conference Coach of the Year.
- Men's team toured California in November and finished with 4-5 win/loss record.
- Kathleen Macleod was awarded the Bob Staunton Award for Most Outstanding Player at U20 National Championships
- Bob Staunton Memorial Scholarship: Men - Adam Gibson; Women - Renae Camino
- Andrew Bogut number one in the NBA Draft.
