- Australian Senior Women’s Team at World Championships – China: Suzy Batkovic, Michelle Brogan (Griffiths), Sandra Brondello, Trisha Fallon, Hollie Grima, Kristi Harrower, Jae Kingi, Lauren Jackson, Laura Summerton (Hodges), Penny Taylor, Allison Tranquilli, Jenny Whittle. Assistant Coach - Phil Brown. Won Bronze Medal.
- Australian Junior Women’s at World Qualification Series: Eva Afeaki, Katie Davis, Hollie Grima, Gabrielle Richards, Shelley Hammonds, Laura Summerton (Hodges), Jessica Mahony, Carly Wilson, Brianna Hennessey, Jennifer Screen. Won Gold Medal.
- Australian Junior Men’s Team at Albert Schwietzer Tournament - Germany: Andrew Bogut, Aaron Bruce, Rhys Carter, Michael Magee, Aleksandar Maric, Damian Martin, Danny Mills, Greg Vanderjagt
- Australian Junior Men’s at World Championship Qualification Series: Andrew Bogut, Rhys Carter, Damian Martin, Sam Harris. Won Gold Medal.
- Australian Senior Men’s Team: Brett Maher, Scott McGregor, Matthew Nielsen, Glenn Saville, Luke Schenscher
AIS results and awards
- Women's team finished 5th in the 2001-2002 WNBL season with a 11-10 win/loss record.
- Women's team toured Hungary in August and finished with a 7-2 win/loss record
- Men's team finished first in the Eastern Conference in the South Eastern Basketball League with a 18-6 win/loss record. It qualified for the Australian Club Championships where it lost 93-98 to Hobart Chargers in the final. Andrew Bogut named in the All Five Star SEABL Team.
- Men's team toured the United States in November and played against Oregon, Montana and Washington State division one teams.
