  • Australian Women’s Team at the Olympic Games - Sydney, Australia: Carla Boyd (Porter), Michelle Brogan (Griffiths), Sandra Brondello, Trisha Fallon (Dykstra), Kristi Harrower, Joanne Hill, Lauren Jackson, Shelley Gorman (Sandie), Jenny Whittle. Assistant Coaches - Carrie Graf, Jenny Cheesman Won Silver Medal.
  • Australian Men’s Team at the Olympic Games - Sydney, Australia: Mark Bradtke, Shane Heal, Luc Longley, Brett Maher, Andrew Vlahov. 4th place.
  • Australian Junior Men’s Team at Albert Schweitzer Tournament – Germany: Adam Caporn, Ian Crosswhite, Rhys Carter, Christopher Cameron, Oscar Forman, Jacob Holmes, Ryan Thompson, Ben Tatulli, Marcus Wright
  • Australian Junior Men’s Team 22 and Under at World Championships Qualification Series: David Andersen, Stephen Black, Ian Crosswhite, Jacob Holmes, Andrew Latimer, Neil Mottram, Andrew Rice, Bradley Sheridan, Ben Tatulli. Won Gold Medal.
  • Australian Junior Women’s Team at World Qualification Series: Nicole Carr, Jessica Foley, Hollie Grima, Jacinta Hamilton, Shelley Hammonds, Jessica Mahony, Deanne Ranford, Laura Summerton, Carly Wilson. Won Gold Medal

AIS results and awards

  • Women's team in the 1999-2000 WNBL finished 8th with a 2-19 win/loss record. Shelley Hammonds was awarded Rookie of The Year.
  • Men's team in the South East Australian Basketball League finished 10th with a 5-23 win/loss record. Jacob Himes named Australian U23 Player in the Eastern Conference
  • All scholarship holders worked as volunteers at the Sydney Olympics basketball tournament.
