  • Australian Women’s Team at Olympic Games - Atlanta, USA: Carla Boyd (Porter), Michelle Brogan (Griffiths), Sandra Brondello, Michelle Chandler (Cleary), Allison Cook (Tranquilli), Trisha Fallon, Shelley Gorman (Sandie), Fiona Robinson, Jenny Whittle. Assistant Coach - Carrie Graf, Jenny Cheesman Won Bronze Medal.
  • Australian Men’s Team at Olympic Games - Atlanta, USA: Mark Bradtke, Shane Heal, Brett Maher, Patrick Reidy, Tony Ronaldson, Andrew Vlahov. 4th place.
  • Australian Junior Women’s Team at William Jones Cup – Taiwan: Kellie Abrams, Tracey Braithwaite, Rohanee Cox, Chika Emeagi, Kate Hogan, Narelle Lindsay, Emily McInerny, Alicia Poto, Eleanor Sharp. Won Bronze Medal.

AIS results and awards

  • Men's team at Albert Schweizer Tounament in Germany - finished 9th with 4-2 win/loss record.
  • Men's team in South East Australian Basketball League finished 8th with 8-14 win/loss record. Matthew Neilsen named in National All Star Five and National Junior Player of the Year.
  • Women's Team in the 1996 WNBL season finished 10th with a 1-17 win/loss record.
