- Australian Junior Women’s Team at William Jones Cup – Taiwan: Kellie Abrams, Tracey Braithwaite, Rohanee Cox, Chika Emeagi, Kate Hogan, Narelle Lindsay, Emily McInerny, Alicia Poto, Eleanor Sharp. Won Bronze Medal.
AIS results and awards
- Men's team at Albert Schweizer Tounament in Germany - finished 9th with 4-2 win/loss record.
- Men's team in South East Australian Basketball League finished 8th with 8-14 win/loss record. Matthew Neilsen named in National All Star Five and National Junior Player of the Year.
- Women's Team in the 1996 WNBL season finished 10th with a 1-17 win/loss record.
