- Australian Junior Men’s Team at U19 World Championships – Greece: Philip Doherty, Frank Drmic, Simon Dwight, Craig McAndrew, Scott McGregor, Bradley McKinnon, Nikola Mirich, Glen Saville, Matthew Shanahan, Aaron Trahair. Won Silver Medal. Aaron Trahair named in World Championship All Star Five and Gordon McLeod coached the team.

AIS results and awards
- Women's team in the 2005 WNBL season finished 8th with 4-14 win/loss record. Chicka Emeagi was named Rookie of the Year.
- Women's team competed in the William Jones Cup and finished 4th with a 5-3 win/loss record.
- Jae Kingi was awarded R E Staunton Memorial Medal at the U20 National Championships.
- Men's team in the South East Australian Basketball League finished 4th with a 12-10 win/loss record and lost to Ballarat in the Southern Conference semi-final. Frank Drmic named Southern Conference and All CBA Teams.
- Men's team toured Southern California and finished with 5-6 win/loss record.
