AIS results and awards
- Men's team in South East Australian Basketball League finished 6th with a 12-10 win/loss record. Chris Blakemore named in All Star team.
- Women's team in 1992 WNBL season finished 10th with a 6-14 win/loss record.
- Men's team toured United States in November playing university and college teams and finished with a 5-6 win/loss record.
- Women's team toured the United States northern states and played against division one university and college teams with a 9-2 win/loss record.
- Scholarship holders Kristi Harrower and Carla Boyd were selected in the 1993 Australian senior squad. Carla Boyd was selected to play against Ukraine, becoming the youngest player to represent Australia at senior level.
