AIS results and awards

  • Women's team finished in sixth place 1982 WNBL season with a 7-8 win/loss record.
  • Men's team finished fourteenth in the South East Australian Basketball League with 5-12 win/loss record.
  • Women's team toured Japan and Korea and played against national teams.
  • Women's team undefeated in tour of United States East Coast.
  • Men's team toured Georgia and Florida in the United States.
  • AIS held the inaugural ABF-AIS Basketball Workshop.
