AIS results and awards

  • Women's team in the Women's Interstate Basketball Conference (WIBC) finished eighth with a 2-8 win/loss record.
  • Both teams represented Australia at the inaugural Oceania tournament in Fiji, and both teams won gold medals. Three male players were selected for the Australian Under 20 men's team, and six women were named in the 1982 Women's National squad.
