The purpose of the Giving for Sport report is to highlight the changing landscape of philanthropy and fundraising in sport and the opportunity for growth if it receives the support and attention it needs. The report also continues to touch on the opportunity for a change in legislation to unlock charitable status for amateur sport which the Australian Sports Foundation believes is one of several components which will unlock a potential $300M of private sector investment in sport by 2032.
