An Ecological Analysis of Return to Sport Following Anterior Cruciate Ligament Injury (ACL) of the Knee

The purpose of this research is help identify key risk predictors for poor outcomes following ACL injury of the knee. These outcomes are defined as an inability to return to the participant’s pre-injury level of activity, and/or further injury to the same or opposite knee upon return to sport. Participants who underwent Pitch Ready testing will be sent a follow-up Outcomes Survey; the outcome measure assessed is subsequent ACL injury; either to the same knee or the opposite knee. These outcomes will be compared with the clinical and physical performance data collected through Pitch Ready testing. This retrospective study aims to determine which physical performance data results, if any, correlate with increased risk of subsequent injury of the ACL.
