Tackling the prevention of women's in-game risk of concussion
Sport has the power to empower and improve the health and wellbeing of women and girls by creating equal opportunities to access, participation and leadership. Concussion mostly occurs in rugby when tackling. This project is designed with women and for women will reveal how professional and sub-elite women rugby league and rugby union players’ tackles alters their head forces and how re-educating their tackle technique can reduce their concussion risk. This information will develop new women-specific coaching guidelines to make sports safer.
