- AIS Canberra Darters gained entry into the Commonwealth Bank Trophy. It won five out of 14 round games and finished sixth in the competition.
- Bianca Reddy, Jackie Murphy, Susan Pratley, Carla Dziwoki, Lauren Nourse, Kirby Mutton, Bianca Franklin, Rebecca Strachan and Katie Bradstock were all selected to represent their country in the Australian 21 and Under team.
- AIS provided training competition in Barbados prior to the World Championships in Jamaica.
