2000

Summary

  • By 2000 the changes to the AIS program were evident when the 2000 World Youth Cup Team took residence at the AIS.
  • The AIS won all of its games on a tour of New Zealand. This included a three test series against the 21 and under New Zealand team.
  • All of the AIS players (11) were selected in the World Youth Cup team, they were victorious over Jamaica in Cardiff, Wales in the Grand Final.
  • The AIS were runners-up in the South Australian Dairy Farmers State League. Cynna Neele, Jane Altschwager and Penny Wannop were selected in the 'Team of the Competition'. Demelza Fellowes won the AIS best and fairest and the Gwen Benzie's Award; Kristy Doyle won the Anne Clark Award and Cynna Neele the Goal Shooting Award.
