What is changing?
Between 16 and 30 June 2025, the Clearinghouse will:
- Launch a new-look website with updated navigation and layout.
- Introduce Sport Connect, a new login system.
What is Sport Connect?
Sport Connect is the ASC's secure digital identity service. It allows you to log in using a personal or work email, or an existing Microsoft, Google, or Apple account. This system provides a more consistent and flexible login experience across ASC platforms.
Do I need to do anything?
Yes. To maintain access to secure of licensed content, users will need to register (or re-register) using Sport Connect once the new system goes live, expected between 16 and 30 June 2025. This includes current Clearinghouse members, as your existing login details will not transfer to the new system.
What happens if I registered before the update?
You can continue using your current account to access the site until the transition takes place.
However, once the updated website goes live, expected sometime between 16 and 30 June 2025, you will need to register again using Sport Connect to maintain access.
Should I still register before the update?
Yes, especially if you need access to secure or restricted content, such as licensed resources, networks, or other protected material. Please note: Access is not automatic. Verification of your status within the Australian sport sector is required and typically takes 1–2 business days.
What happens if I don’t re-register when the update goes live?
You won’t be able to access secure or licenced content on the updated site until you’ve registered using Sport Connect.
Is there a deadline to re-register?
There is no fixed deadline, but you will lose access to secure content from the time the updated site goes live until you’ve re-registered using Sport Connect.
Can I use the same email address when I re-register?
Yes. You can use the same email address when registering with Sport Connect. If you access the Clearinghouse as part of your role within the Australian sport sector, we recommend using your work email. This helps ensure continued access to secure and restricted content.
Can I register in advance using Sport Connect?
Yes, you can create a Sport Connect account now if you’d like access to other Australian Sports Commission services already using the platform. However, Sport Connect will only be integrated with the Clearinghouse when the new website launches, expected sometime between 16 and 30 June 2025. Once available, you’ll need to accept the Clearinghouse terms and conditions before accessing any secure or licensed content.
What if I already have a Sport Connect account?
If you already have a Sport Connect account, you’ll be able to use your existing credentials once the Clearinghouse is integrated with Sport Connect, expected sometime between 16 and 30 June 2025. At that time, you’ll be prompted to accept the Clearinghouse terms and conditions before accessing any secure or licensed content.
How will I know the Clearinghouse has been updated?
You’ll see a refreshed website design and be prompted to register using Sport Connect when accessing secure or licensed content. We’ll also notify users through email updates and announcements on the Clearinghouse once the updated site is live.
Will I still receive the Daily Sports News?
Yes, there are no changes to this service.
Will there be any downtime during the website update?
The Clearinghouse team will aim to minimise downtime, but brief service interruptions may occur during the update period, expected between 16 and 30 June 2025.
Who do I contact if I have trouble registering or logging in?
Please contact the Clearinghouse support team via email at clearinghouse@ausport.gov.au or call 02 6214 1369
