On 30 April 2020 Sport Australia released the latest results from its national sport and physical activity participation survey, AusPlay. This release includes results from data collected in the 2019 calendar year, plus data visualisations based on 85,000+ telephone interviews from October 2015 to December 2019.

Please note that the impact of the coronavirus on participation rates will not be seen until future releases. AusPlay has continued during the pandemic and with additional questions to better understand how participation behaviours have changed.
