Summary

  • The AIS squad won the National Youth League Northern Division, won 21, drew 2, lost 1. Scored 109 goals for and 12 goals against. Won Divisional Grand Final 3–0 against Blacktown City. Every field player in the squad scored at least one goal. Paul Foster and Paul Trimboli scored 26 goals. Goalkeeper Peter Gunning only conceded 3 goals in 15 matches.
  • Jimmy Shoulder resigned as head coach at the end of 1986.
