Synopsis
Don Talbot, the inaugural Director of the AIS (1980–83) reflected on his time and shared his experiences of the establishment of the AIS and the development of Australian sport over the last 30 years. This included his involvement in the establishment of the first eight AIS sports programs, employment of coaches, development of sports medicine and science services and training facilities.
