The Australian high performance system celebrates its 40th anniversary on 26th January, 2021. While the national system can be proud of its medal winning achievements, there are some concerns that the system is not high performing in terms of its capabilities to collect performance data, and generate insight for the next wave of Australian athletes and coaches. This panel discusses what is at stake if the system cannot nationally align on data collections, and what could be achieved if the system could more effectively utilise performance data.
